4 FAQs about Selling Your Car

You've heard about this whole "sell my car for cash" thing from Orthodox Auto Company. But can it really be as good as it sounds? You're probably filled with a few questions — and you're not alone. Here are a few common questions we get about our cash-for-cars program, along with some answer that might help ease your concerns.

1. Will you purchase a car without a title?

Legally, we cannot purchase a vehicle if you don't have the original title. However, our staff is experienced in helping customers obtain a new copy of their car's title so you may not be out of luck. You may just have to wait 7 to 10 days for the paperwork to process and for you to get your title in hand.

2. How do you decide on a purchase price for my vehicle?

Most cars that come to our salvage yard to be sold are damaged and would cost more to repair than what they're worth. Therefore, the car's condition qualifies it to fall under "scrap value", which we assess accordingly. However, if your car isn't in scrap value, we do some research about your car's make and model to see how it's been selling at auctions and the overall market conditions. Then, we give you a cash price that's fair.

3. What do you do with the cars you buy?

After buying your car for cash, we send it through our judgment center. Here our staff takes it through at least 100 tests to check for salvageable auto parts that can be dismantled and sold. However, if it's just too far gone, then we send it to the crusher so the steel can be reused.

4. What types of cars do you buy?

From accident cars to older models to a car right off the lot, we don't discriminate at Orthodox Auto. If you want to sell your car, we'll give you a fair cash value price. Even if it comes in on its last breath, we'll buy it, providing you meet all the requirements.
